There may even be group messages devoted solely to criticizing coworkers and pointing fingers. Don't let office rumours distract you from your work, and absolutely avoid participating in the topic. Spreading rumours is one of the quickest ways to erode confidence among your coworkers. The fear that information would be leaked and used against them in the future prevents anyone in that kind of workplace from being open and vulnerable. 

 6. Know that nothing is permanent - It seems like there’s nothing you can do to stop or relieve the anxiety of being thrown under the bus by your co-workers. Your confidence is gone, you dread going to work, and you start to feel bad psychologically and physically. Understand that the situation is temporary. Seek out chances to move on proactively
